Shari Phares

Shari, has been dancing for 27 years and practicing and teaching Yoga for nearly 20 years. She was a founding member of The Yoga Garden Dancers, Praxis Dance Collective and Annahata Belly Dance Collective. She has completed The Bo Tree Teacher Training, The Whole Birth Prenatal Teacher Training and is now working towards completion of The Radiant Health Teacher Training. Shari’s teaching style reflects the diversity of her training as well as her gentle flowing style.

Yoga Movement on Fridays 9:30-11:00 am- This class integrates the meditative states of the yoga practice with the fluid choreographic elements of dance. Through a connected series of asanas we will explore contemplative and sometimes vigorous movement. As we move together we will learn to bring out individual gifts. This dance form incorporates traditional asana; temple poses, and ignites our creativity. As we deepen into yoga movement we are invited to awaken both our authentic self and explore performance qualities using asana as a vehicle for our expression in the world. This class requires previous yoga/dance experience.
