Judith Dahn

Yoga is certainly a way to ease suffering, a path to inner peace. It is won by tending the fire of self-study, lit with the consistency of discipline, and cooled by the tenderness of forgiving. From this fire we have an opportunity to forge an experience of balance, harmony, courage, flexibility….peace of mind. Judith tends to this fire within herself and with gratitude to her many teachers passes the flame to her students that they may light their own path.

Sound of the Heart on Thursdays 5:30-7:00 & 7:30-9:00 pm- The breath will be both our focus and our guide. We will follow the sounds of the breath through the joys of movement, the compassion of non-movement, the devotion of chant, and the peace of stillness.

Part 1: exposes students to the fundamentals of Yoga in both posture and philosophy. Class focus is on the cultivation of body/mind awareness to increase strength in posture, in breath, and in the ability to relax. All students are welcome regardless of skill.

Part 2: continues the practice of exploring connection of body and mind through breath. Awareness of edges, the need for self-care, limits of body and mind are thoroughly explored and cultivated. Beginners and students with injury need to check with teacher before attending class.

Interim: A chance to experience the sound of the heart through chanting, meditation and stillness. Students from both classes are welcome.
